The SBS Radio and Television Youth Orchestra is grateful to many people and organisations for the support it receives. Clearly the continuous support and encouragement from the Television, Radio and Administrative Divisions of the Special Broadcasting Service has ensured the sustainability of our cultural group.

Since the orchestra was formed in 1988 there have been many SBS staff members who have provided support beyond the call of their normal duties.

In memory: Matthew Krel (Founding Conductor), Noulie Skoumbas (publicity), Jenny Looman (publicity) and Austin Steele (Television Production and a voluntary Director of the Orchestra).

The Orchestra was supported for periods by many organisations including St George Bank, Coca Cola Amatil, EPSON,
ABC Classic FM, Parramatta Riverside Theatre, Rode Microphones,
Optimum Percussion, 2MBSFM
and, of course

There were many individuals who assisted the orchestra, too many to name here. These include:
Fatima de Assis, Simon Thew, Geoffrey Gartner, Adam Sebire, our many Tutors and voluntary Board members.

The orchestra's membership was large in number during its 25 years of operation. We also count them as our greatest supporters, along with their parents and families.
